Rockport Trip

Brandy, Mitch, Harper, Matt and I went on our annual trip to Rockport MO for our 4th of July extravaganza. We left Mitch/Brandy's house about 9am and headed that way... We got all our loot and headed home.. stopping in Nebraska City @ Arby's for lunch... another one of our annual things!... 4th of July should be fun at Groveland Circle this year!!!! Come join us!

T-Ball Game

Mitch and Matt are coaching Harper's T-Ball teams this year. THE CUBS. We have 14 girls on the team and they are all having a lot of fun.

The PIT

or as I called it (the Monstrosity sitting in my driveway) Which I was nicely asked to NOT call it that by Matt. "It's the PIT" Matt and Mitch's brainchild of a smoker they are beginning to build. The plan is to take pictures to cronical the building of the Pit.. THIS IS DAY ONE....

Harper's first SLEEP OVER

Harper had her very first sleep over last night, with her best friend LIZ! After work yesterday I picked her up from BCC and took her over to Liz's house. She stayed the night and went and picked her up after work today.... She didn't mind being left at ALL. Figures, when Matt and I took her to KC to stay with Steph the first time, she was fine with us leaving... I know we were more worried about it than she was.. What was she, 3 1/2 years old the first time? Anyways..... Laura (Liz's mom) said they had a great time and played hard. Liz has a little sister named Gracee who loves to play with the 'older' girls. I have always thought that Harper would have made an Awesome big sister and seeing her with Gracee just proves it! Anyhow.... the girls were up until almost midnight (Laura is such a trooper, I'm not sure I could have done it)... They played all day and had a great time. Harper is one tired little girl. She fell asleep on the couch about 530 and I had to wake her up because she needed a shower... She showered and then laid on the couch and feel right asleep! Big thanks to Laura, Liz and Gracee for their generosity & kindness! Harper and I are glad for our new friends!

Mitch, Matt & Harper met Nick & Colton at WildWood to fish on Sunday. On their way to the car they saw a guy putting his boat into the water. He had a eye patch on and when Harper walked by she asked him "Are you a pirate". He kind of chuckled and said "No". Harper then asked him "Why are you wearing a eye patch?"

Flower time Flower time

It's that time of year again when Matt and Harper get all the flowers planted. The didn't do as many as last year (YET) and have plans to go out and get some more. I would really like them to do the hanging baskets to put on each side of the garage. And, NO I didn't help. Wouldn't mind though, but this has kind of been a Daddy, Daughter Duo thing the last few years!

Hanging a new flag in Albion

Mom & Dad got a new flag so Sonja and Harper helped Grandpa hang the flag. After we hung the flag we all stood back and said the Pledge of Alegents. Was touching to see how proud Dad was to hang his new flag.

Last day of school!

May 27th was Harper last day of Kindergarten! As usual I made her stand on the step so I could take pictures!

FUN WITH FRIENDS!

Laura, Gracee & Liz (Harper's best friend from school) joined Harper and I at the Children's museum. The girls had a blast! The kids played for a couple of hours and then we went outside and the girls played and that gave us MOMS time to visit. The girls have a great time together and so do us MOMS!
